Take a paddle just inside Beaver Creek cove to view birds such as Osprey, Blue Herons, White Egrets, Hawks and ducks or paddle out to Garrett Island and enjoy the natural wildlife and a picnic lunch on the beach. Since then the VTRC family has grown, offering private charters around Lake Buchanan, as well as kayak and canoe rentals. We also offer sunset cruises between Memorial Day and Labor Day — a perfect way to end a hazy Hill Country day. Vanishing Texas Cruises want to make sure you have a safe, comfortable cruise! Due to the nature of our cruise vessel, when the national weather service issues lake wind advisories, we will cancel our trip. Also, impending lightning storms may cause a delay or cancellation of a cruise. If we feel conditions will be safe, we will still run the tour and fees will be assessed if the customer cancels. We will attempt to contact all passengers at least one (1) hour ahead of cruise time to cancel if there are weather concerns. When we cancel a cruise, you will have the opportunity to rebook or get a refund.
